With over 30 Hotels, Resorts and Serviced Suites across Asia and North America, Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a diversified portfolio of investment and development properties.
With aggressive expansion plans in the region, we’re looking for dynamic individuals to join us as Senior Business Analyst (based at our Corporate Office in Singapore):
The Role
- Reports to the Senior Vice President, Growth & Development, to assist in monitoring hotels’ performances and support corporate initiatives to enhance business performance in hotels.
- Analyse monthly and yearly performance indicators and results of each business unit/Hotel against Budget, prior years’ performance or other industry and market benchmarks, and submit a report of such analysis to Management Team regularly.
- Engage Hotel and business units to review and evaluate performance indicators and results and facilitate the formulation of action plans and strategy to improve business performance.
- Conduct, collate, maintain and disseminate findings from environmental scan on operating condition of the Hotels and business units such as the following but not limited to, national visitor arrival statistics, industry profit or productivity benchmarks which would assist the Hotel and business units with the evaluation of their performance.
- Review and evaluate feasibility and ‘return-on-investment’ studies, and make recommendations to Hotel and Management Team on the viability, risks and potential of these business cases.
The Person
- Degree in Finance / Business / Management from a recognized University
- 3 years experience in asset, investment or development analysis, or Hotel management positions in planning, finance or executive office functions
- Excellent interpersonal and communications (written and spoken) skills
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin as you are required to review contracts written in Mandarin and communicate with colleagues in Mandarin
- Excellent hands-on (intermediate) knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software programs
- Experience in extracting reports from PMS and CRS systems preferred (eg: Opera, Fidelio, etc)
- Analytical, strong business and commercial acumen
- Ability to travel frequently and on short notice
